02-12-08 NYC Bridal Show at the Roosevelt Hotel

Magda and I were really overjoyed at the prospect of working with the incredible styling team from Designer Loft http://www.designerloftnyc.com/ for this really cool bridal showcase at the Roosevelt Hotel hosted by non other than Iris from IGMC http://www.igmc.net/. Now, I wish I could say that everything went off smashingly well, but Magda and I literally had to drive through a storm to get to the show and with very little time to spare we worked on hair and makeup. As you can see from the photos, I couldn't resist grabbing my camera (which everyone knows I refer to as my children) and snapping away at a few momentos!
The ladies from Designer Loft (Paulette, Liz, and event planner and friend Annette) showcased the type of dresses and accessories that every bride dreams of wearing and every photographer dreams of photographing. And, like the wedding photographer nerd that I am, of course I grabbed a few details (flowers, hotel and band shots, and let's not forget the cake)! Sylvia Wynstock made a very brief appearance but the taste of her cake still lives in my memory! Can you tell I absolutely LOVE cake?
Closing out the night were some of the most amazing live bands that I have ever heard. If you haven't found your dress and are still searching for an amazing band, do yourself a favor and call Designer Loft to pick up a celebrity style gown and Iris from IGMC for the most kick ass band you will ever hear. Happy trails!

02-09-08 Caitlin & Brendan at St. Patrick's Cathedral

WOW! What a great day to be in NYC, photographing a beautiful bride, her handsome husband and their crazy funny family and friends. Upon entering her home, we were instantly greeted like guests and not just working vendors. Caitlin was radiant and full of energy. Not only did she give us warm big hugs upon greeting us, but did just the same as we left the party later that night.

Caitlin rocked in her gorgeous Paloma Blanca gown (http://www.palomablanca.com/) and soft furry stole. Very NYC socialite! And, Brendan did some damage of his own looking very debonair in a black tux.

St. Patrick's Cathedral gave us plenty of opportunity to capture NYC's historical architecture and street life and while at Bridgewaters at the South Street Seaport, we were able to take in the swanky decor and atmosphere.

I wish I could say that we were just purely exhausted from working so hard, but the truth is we were exhausted from laughing it up and shooting on overtime as the guests partied the night away, creating some interesting dance moves and great photo ops.

Caitlin and Brendan, we feel so lucky and blessed to have been gifted with photographing your event. Thank you for the fun, the breathtaking scenery, and your generosity! Enjoy the honeymoon!
